I find myself not wanting to watch the news these days, but feeling compelled at the same time. I know that when I watch, I become anxious and tense…knowing I should just change the channel, but also feeling that I need to be informed and aware of what is happening around me..especially these days.
I am reminded of this verse..
Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

I find myself praying all through the day for the chaos in the world…praying that people would turn to Christ…praying for peace…praying for protection..especially over Christians being persecuted. I find myself praying for loved ones to come to Christ…to not wait. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever been in almost a constant state of prayer in all my life! If I feel this way, I am convinced that other Christians are feeling the same way and lifting prayers for the plight of the world.
Lately, we have been bombarded with so many reasons to fall on our knees to pray….so many friends suffering from cancer, broken families, extreme escalation of persecution of Christians all over the world..beheading of precious children, invasions of evil dictatorship countries, unrest concerning Israel, and the list goes on and on…
I know that through history, there has always been unrest…but for me this feels feels as though it’s coming to a head….
we should always be ready to meet our Maker, no matter the circumstances…but it feels urgent to me now!
I will live this life abundantly that God has blessed me with…but when it’s time…I’m certainly ready….but in the mean time..we need to be strong..
1 Corinthians 16:13, NIV Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong
And I also see the urgency….the brevity of life…to share with all who will listen..
Peter 3:15, NIV But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
God is our Peace in the midst of Chaos…
